Built from a decade inside complexity
Minotaur Consulting was built by someone who has lived inside the conditions it serves.
The practice exists because most leadership advice arrives too late, too generic, or too aspirational to help when the work is actually under load. What leaders need in those moments is not more frameworks. It is orientation.
Founder
Chandler Thompson is the founder of Minotaur Consulting and the creator of the Minotaur Method™.
He has spent over a decade leading engineering organizations through scale, reorganization, and sustained complexity. His work has covered enterprise identity, subscription and billing infrastructure, and commerce platforms used by millions, with responsibility for hiring, restructuring, and stabilizing teams through the kind of strategic strain that does not resolve on its own.
His credentials extend into coaching and applied communication: certifications through the International Certification Board of Coaches and Hypnotists (ICBCH) and the iNLP Center, built on a foundation of Communication Studies with concentrations in Performance, Organizational Communication, and Rhetoric.
Based in Austin, Texas.
Why this practice exists
The Minotaur Method™ emerged from a recurring observation across years of leading inside complex environments.
Capable leaders rarely fail from lack of effort. They fail because perception degrades faster than effort can compensate.
When attention fragments, strategy degrades. When capacity is spent before judgment is restored, decisions get louder and worse. Most operating systems for leadership assume conditions that no longer apply.
The Method was built to address those failure modes directly. Not by adding more practice. By naming the structure underneath the work so a leader can move through it without losing coherence.
What this practice is
A consulting practice for leaders operating inside complex environments. Founders. Executives. Senior leaders inside organizations dealing with growth inflections, transitions, and strategic strain.
The work uses two locked instruments. THREAD™, a six-stage path for moving from confusion to grounded action. TORCH™, a five-axis lens for perceiving where capacity is intact and where it is leaking. Together they form the Minotaur Method™.
It is delivered through executive engagements, leadership development, and facilitated work with leadership teams.
What this practice is not
It is not therapy. It is not a productivity system. It is not a mindset program. It is not a packaged training curriculum.
It does not promise transformation in advance. It builds the conditions in which orientation, capacity, and authority become possible. Outcomes change because the system is built to change them.
How engagements run
Engagements begin with a Discovery Session to assess fit and surface the actual question underneath the request. From there, scope is shaped to the constraint. Some clients want a single decision worked cleanly. Others want quarterly orientation across a leadership team. Some bring an ongoing strategic strain that warrants embedded advisory.
What stays constant across formats: clarity is reduced before action is increased. Capacity is stabilized before performance pressure is applied. Authority is treated as coherence between perception, decision, and action.
If the conditions sound familiar
If you are leading inside complexity, transition, or strategic strain, the Discovery Session is the next step.
